India's First Engine-Less Train, 'Train 18' or 'Vande Bharat Express'

It is India's first engine-less train, developed by the Integral Coach Factory, Chennai. The project took just about 18 months. The trainset is said to cost about ₹ 100 crore/rake, nearly half that of an imported rake. It will cover a distance of over 750 kms between New Delhi and Varanasi in 8 hours, which otherwise takes 11 hours.

New Delhi Varanasi Vande Bharat Express 

The train will run at 160 kmph, but is capable of touching speeds of up to 180-200 kmph. Vande Bharat Express is a 16-coach air-conditioned train with two classes of tickets -- Executive and Chair Car. The train is equipped with top notch facilities, such as automatic doors with retractable footsteps, Wi-Fi availabilty and CCTV cameras. It also has GPS-based passenger information system, modular toilets with bio-vacuum systems, rotational seats that can be aligned in the direction of travel.
Eventually, the Vande Bharat Express will replace the 30-year-old Shatabdi Express.

Timings:
As 22436, it departs at 06:00 in morning from New Delhi and reaches Kanpur Central at 10:08. After staying there for 2 minutes it departs at 10:10. It reaches Allahabad Junction at 12:08 and departs after 2 minutes at 12:10. And the train terminates at Varanasi Junction railway station at 14:00.

In reverse direction, as 22435, it departs at 15:00 from Varanasi Junction and reaches Allahabad Junction at 16:35. After staying there for 2 minutes it departs at 16:37. It reaches Kanpur Central Junction at 18:30 and departs after 2 minutes at 18:32. And the train terminates at New Delhi railway station at 23:00.

New routes for Vande Bhasha Express - New Delhi to Mumbai Central, and New Delhi to Howrah will run on these three new routes. The time table has also been created for this.

13 hours journey from New Delhi to Mumbai Central:
According to the information, the Vande harat Express sleeper type will run from New Delhi to Mumbai Central and also it will come with convenience. With this, the journey will be left for only 13 hours. This train will leave New Delhi daily at 7:40 pm and reach Mumbai Central the next morning at 8:40 AM. In the return direction, it will depart from Mumbai Central at 07:45 and reach New Delhi at 8:45 in the morning.


Sleeper coach to be run at Howrah route:
Vande Bharat Express sleeper coach will run from New Delhi to Howrah route. This will be the longest and most important route compared to other routes. It will be completed in 15 hours and 20 minutes from New Delhi to Howrah. According to the time table, the train will leave from New Delhi at 6 pm and arrive at Howrah at 9:20 am the next day.
